Recent Developments Recently the BIG 4 have become the BIG 2 with Thomas Cook merging with MY Travel (Formally Airtours) and Thomson merging First Choice. As a result of the mergers each company is reducing the amount of retail outlets that they have and also the number staff they employ. Less holidays will be sold this year than there has been in previous years and therefore supply in many cases could be below demand meaning that the average price of a holiday this year will increase and it is more important than ever to book early to avoid disappointment.
